We have great news for stockists and lovers of our Hub Gourmet Vegan Pies and Rolls- they now feature The Vegan Society of Aotearoa New Zealand Vegan Certification prominently on the packs. This means your customers can have 100% confidence that they are the real deal.

What’s Involved in Gaining the Vegan Certification?

The Vegan Certified programme is administered by the NZ Vegetarian Society, in collaboration with the Vegan Society of Aotearoa New Zealand. The Vegan Certified trademark helps consumers to easily identify vegan products from reputable manufactures.

In order to be granted the Vegan Certified Trade Mark the manufacturer The Goodtime Pie Co has to guarantee that all Hub Gourmet Vegan Pies and  Rolls are

Free from animal-derived ingredients: This means they cannot contain, consist of, or have been produced with the aid of products consisting of or created from, any part of a living or dead animal, or any substance that has originated from an animal.

That no cross-contamination during production: This means if the same production line is shared with non-vegan products/ ingredients, thorough cleaning must be carried out before vegan production commences. This extends to all associated machinery, equipment, utensils, surfaces and clothing, which must remain free from non- vegan products/ingredients before vegan products are touched, prepared, produced or packaged. Clear procedures must be in place to ensure correct packaging is used and errors do not occur.

Free from genetically modified ingredients or products containing genetically modified ingredients.

There are 4 tempting flavours in the Hub Gourmet Vegan Pie Range they are:  Spicy Mexican, Korma Vegetable, Kumara and Cashew and the new Chana Masala.  A recent innovative addition to the range is the Café Vegan Sausage Roll
